Occasionally we have older pups or adults available to new homes. Please keep in mind that due to the Shelties loyalty and devotion to it's family and home, they can be shy / reserved with new owners. It might take some time for them to accept and trust new surroundings and people. Some are more out going then others. But, eventually they all come around and form a strong, loving bond with their new owners.
When re-homing an older Sheltie it is important to realize that they MUST be kept in a securly fenced yard or on a leash at all times when outside. It is common for them to run away in search of their old home and the family that they loved. Once they bolt, they go into flight mode and it can be very difficult to recover them.
When we have older pups or adults available they will all be house broke, crate trained, leash broke and up to date on their vaccinations and wormings. All have lived in my home as members of the family ( no kennel dogs here!!!! ). They are all love bugs and couch hounds that will bring love and joy to their new family. WE REQUIRE THAT ALL ADULTS PLACED IN PET HOMES MUST BE SPAYED/NEUTERED. REGISTRATION PAPERS WILL BE HELD UNTIL PROOF OF SPAY/NEUTER HAS BEEN PROVIDED.WE ALSO RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE A SALE.
