We are a small hobby breeder of AKC Reg. Shetland Sheepdogs. Legrand Shelties was started in Dupage County Illinois (approx 30 miles west of Chicago). In late 2014 we relocated to  Wisconsin.After a long and exhausting search we found a 2 acre property that is surrounded by beautiful woods, forrest, lakes and streams in This area is known for it's abundent wildlife and is a favorite vacation spot for the outdoors men/women .. Although I will ALWAYS be a "Chicagoan" at heart and a lifelong supporter of the Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and White Sox..... I am very excited about this move!

I have always been a lover of animals. Many years ago I owned and bred Collies. They are a breed that will always be my first love. I hope this move and all the extra space will once again allow me the opportunity to acquire another member of this stunning breed.

In 2008 I purchased my first pet Sheltie and fell in love with the breed. A short time later I decided that this was a breed that I would like to breed and show. I have been fortunate enough to have some of the top breeders of Shetland Sheepdogs in the country agree to share some of their dogs with me. I will be forever grateful to Locklyn Guzman www.appleacres.org , Pat Mahoney www.hillstoneshelties.com ,and Rose Marie Doran www.granitegables.com for allowing me to purchase my foundation dogs. And to Yvonne Samuelson www.seahavenshelties.com ,Karen Munster www.karmunshelties.com and Bella Thompson www.belmarkshelties.com for allowing my girls to be bred to their boys.

It is my goal that every generation be an improvement over the last. Temperament and health are always my top priority, followed by beautiful and sound moving dogs.
